Why Hire Sonja Lauren To Speak At Your Next Event?
To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Sonja Lauren.
Let me tell you why….
Sonja does not just speak about dental issues. Sonja has lived it. Her personal experiences and the impacts they have had on her life are far deeper than any of us will ever know.
So many times, speakers, consultants, and experts are recommended based on their academic or business knowledge. Sonja moves people to take action because she has that unique ability to truly convey to her audiences what her life has been like and how that has shaped her passion to help those in need.
Sonja has devoted her life – not just her career, but her life – to helping make sure that those who need access to dental care will be able to get it. That those children who face dental, medical, and yes, even mental health and development issues because they do not have access to good dental care, will never know what she has known.
I have heard Sonja speak, and she will move you with her message. I have meet with her one on one and spoken with her on numerous occasions, and I can promise you, every opportunity that can be created to help her get her message out will be a true investment in a better world – a better world for someone.
Like Sonja, I grew up in a region with poor access to dental care. So I do understand the needs. When I speak to some dental students, and ask them if they want to work in underserved areas, I become dismayed to hear them say no – that they plan to go to an area with better income potential, that they are going to join their dad in a thriving practice in a high income neighborhood, etc.
Well… that’s fine and I wish them well. And I applaud those who donate their time once a year or more to help the underserved. But truly, we need much more. We need professionals who, like Sonja, will dedicate their lives to helping those who truly need their help, in areas that truly need their help.
You know, there are a lot of great dental professionals. There are even many wonderful advocates for dental health. There is only one Sonja, and she will inspire and motivate your professionals and students to look beyond themselves to the change they can truly provide for those in need.
I would not only recommend her to you – I would challenge you to find as many ways and opportunities to engage her to talk with and to educate those in your “sphere of influence”, so that her words and the sharing of her experiences can help you help others to change the world – at least for someone who needs their world changed….
With my kindest regards

Dear Ms. Lauren:
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your moving presentation to the West Virginia University health sciences faculty, staff and students you have given in the past. “The Covered Smile” is now required reading for the third year dental students as a component of Behavioral Sciences.
Your story has provided everyone, especially the students, with insight on the subject of neglected oral care. As a result of your presentation, I hope that when our students have a child with extensive needs in their dental chair, they will remember your experience and take the extra effort to do all in their power to provide the services needed.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your moving experience with our students, faculty and staff.
Sincerely,
Richard L Meckstroth, DDS
Chairman Dental Practice & Rural Health

Dear Sonja:
RE: Your Keynote Presentation Growing Healthy Children Conference Charleston, WV
I want to thank you for your stirring Keynote address. The conference participants of medical and dental professionals and child advocates are used to dealing with all sorts of difficult situations: however, your presentation literally “blew everyone away.”
I can’t name a particular part of your story that touches people so deeply. I believe it is a build up of emotions over your entire presentation. You tell your story in such an honest, simple, and humble manner that it catches folks off guard and they can really FEEL what you are relating.
There is something so touching and vulnerable about your beautiful self standing up there relaying your horrors. Not like a slide show by a professor. If you were more polished and intellectual, ‘folks could compartmentalize and distance your pain: you do not give them that cover. And they cannot leave the room.
You made them see, feel, and be deeply touched by the reality you and too many have to endure. And everyone loves you for your courage to share your story.
You are a true warrior and truth is your weapon!
With deep respect,
Susan B. Walter MSW
